Healthcare is rapidly evolving new business models that are based on collaborative advantage. In the US, government is finally playing a leadership role and is actively participating through Medicare, Medicaid, and the Veterans Administration, as well as through ongoing research programs. The Meaningful Use mandate is subsidizing migration from paper to digital, making significant progress from the 2008 baseline of 12% of physicians using basic electronic healthcare records. Partnerships between patients, payers, providers, and product manufacturers use information technology to support their deepening relationships. Coordination of care aligns a patient's care with overall outcomes, shifting medicine from transaction-based to relationship-based.

The question I have for the group is, how are you building and measuring the value of healthcare collaboration?
