ICounts Index

The ICounts Index is a great exercise to launch your exploration of intangible capital. All you have to do is rate the importance of different kinds of resources to the future financial success of your or any organization:

Add up the two columns then divide the intangibles by the total. The percentage tells you how much of the future financial success is dependent on intangibles. If it's over 50%, it makes sense to spend some more time talking about what your intangibles are and how well they are performing. We have lots more tools to use for this.  So keep exploring!

You can download our spreadsheet to automatically calculate the importance of intangibles in your own or any other organization. Play around with it. Try calculating the index for manufacturing versus service and technology companies.

This is an open source tool. Feel free to use it and share it. If you have suggestions, please share them at our Open Source Hub.
