For you, what is the definition of intangible capital?
Intellectual Capital is that part of knowledge - common or unique - which we are able to monetize, as tangibles or intangibles. The way we measure the value of that knowledge is only relative to how we ensure the knowledge is reusable and sustained, through innovation and sharing.
How do intangibles relate to your work?
While I was engaged with AREOPA in 2009/2010, and closely involved with calculation and accounting of IC, amongst others, my current engagements bring IC and KM in daily practice.

My achievements are being realized through, what I have named
Knowledge CONVERGENCE: crossroads between KM, CF & Innovation.

Feel free to contact me for more networking or engagements for your initiatives.

I appreciate your four leaf model of IC. It does provide a holistic approach but the measuring of each function should be challenging. If I may be of assistance, please call on me.

Hi Joris - thanks for you note to me. I completely agree with everything you wrote re: social. My view is that 'social' is receiving all/most of the attention right now but that it is just one component of the intangibles that need to be addressed in organizations. By shelf-life I mean that I think the hype will die down a bit and hopefully create room for all intangibles to receive the attention they deserve.
Cheers,

Jacob
